Belinda Blake

Joining mind, body and spirit yoga has been my passion for several years. Teaching to integrate breathe with movement and mindful intentions can bring balance to your everyday life. Stress can be controlled and your body strengthened while moving powerfully through a practice of yoga. Serenity awaits. Sharing this is a powerful thing as we build our inner selves. Being mother, teacher, artist and a professional book merchandiser I practice to be strong and to share peace with my students. Viniyasa flow is the style in which I teach as it allows for individual preferences based on your needs or limitations. Fluid movements can teach to accept the needs from your own body and mind. Simple movements combined with breathe bring you to new heights. Open your mind to serenity and join us for class!

Adiba Twigg

I have my certification from Exercise Science Alliance in Aerobics Instruction and Choreography I have been teaching fitness classes for 17 years - Aerobics, Step, Yoga, PiYo, Toning, Dance, Stability Ball and Stretch & Relax - I've be in classrooms with senior who couldn't get out of their chairs, all the way to little toddler who love to run around all over the place, love it.   My passion is to motivate others and get them excited about life, and giving them the tools to achieve total wellness.   After spending 13 years in the US Air Force and being a Drug and Alcohol counselor, I made a shift into wellness and preventative health care, that's where I found my passion.   I help my clients get in shape and believe in themselves.   Growing up in Cairo, Egypt we used to dance and Bellydance at gatherings, it was always fun.   After being in the fitness field for so many years now, I've been playing with different concepts to find a way to reach people, especially women, so they would "get up and move". My inspiration to start the Bellydance classes for FunFit came from the fun times we had when I was growing up and dancing.    Now I teach at Aspen Fitness Club and the Bella Fontana Spa in Sherman, plus at the Texoma Fitness and Yoga Center in Whitesboro on a regular basis.   I travel and conduct wellness seminars at schools and go into businesses to teach fitness, relaxation and wellness/nutrition by requests.

Terri Malek

My passion for the outdoors began as a young child when I began camping and fishing with my family, and grew stronger upon moving to Colorado after graduating from TWU with a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology and a minor in Philosophy. Since then, I have worked for many years in corporate environments ranging in careers from Office Manager to Business Analyst. In more recent years, I was the owner and business manager of an outdoor sports store specializing in bicycling, paddling, running, hiking, and backpacking. I taught many classes and clinics on each of these sports to all ages touching on subjects ranging from training techniques, skills, gear, nutrition, and injury prevention. My true passion lies in off-road sports such as trail running, backpacking, hiking, mountain biking, and kayaking. I have a huge affinity for the outdoors and the oneness I gain with nature in pursuing these activities. The mind/body/spirit connection is so invigorating and offers a connection with the earth that sustains me.

Joylyn Bateman

Mrs. Bateman holds a Master of Fine Arts in Dance Performance from Texas Woman's University and has been actively involved in Fitness for over 20 years.  She became interested in Pilates when she was dancing in Florida and became injured over 14years ago. Without Pilates she does not feel she would have recovered as quickly.  As a dancer, strength, flexibility, balance, grace and long lean muscles are important - without Pilates longevity as a dancer would be painful...  Joylyn brings all her experiences to the classroom when teaching; understanding that each individual participant is unique in her/his own way and should be nurtured and encouraged to do their best to achieve ones fitness goals.  Come take a class - have fun, relax, be in the moment and be ready to work!

Debra Williamson
Was born and raised in Sherman, Texas. After graduating from Sherman High School in 1974, I went to work for Johnson & Johnson. I ran machinery that made products for Hospitals and health care units. I became an industrial instructor and trained others to run the machinery. It was there that I started training in the martial arts. At the Live for Life center I joined a Shotokan Karate class to learn self-defense. I wanted to know how to defend myself in case of an attack. I fell in love with the martial arts. In 1988 I earned my Black Belt. My calling in life is to teach as many people how to defend themselves against an attacker and to be more aware of their surroundings. In 1994 l started training in another Martial Art called Tai Chi. After 21 years of service with Johnson N Johnson I left and moved to Richardson, Tx. and started teaching Tai Chi at the Collin County Community Colleges, Community Centers and Churchs. For the last 17 years I have been teaching and learning about this slow meditative art form. Tai Chi teaches you balance and posture, increases muscle and bone mass, patience and peace within, helps with pain from arthritis and depression, lowers blood pressure and increases circulation. Also every movement is for self-defense. Your overall health improves.
In 2005 I moved back and bought a house in Pottsboro on Lake Texoma and remarried. Dreams do come true.
I now teach Tai Chi at Health Trends in Denison, Sherman Youth Center, Sherman L.I.F.E. Specialty Hospital, Sherman Aspen Athletic Club and Pottsboro Georgetown Baptist Church. I also teach Karate at the Sherman Youth Center. And have earned my 4th degree Black Belt. So for the past 27 years I have been training in the Martial Arts and loving it. I have also been a Mary Kay Beauty Consultant for the past 10 years. I love teaching women how to take care of their skin and apply make-up.
